Chevrolet one of division of General Motors revealed the new Chevrolet Miray concept car at 2011 Seoul Motor Show. The word Miray means 'future' in Korean language.
The Chevrolet Miray concept car is powered with 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine system, two front mounted 15-kW electric motors are powered with mid mounted 1.6-kWh lithium-ion battery which is charged through regenerative braking energy. The car is connected to dual clutch transmission with start/stop system. The average fuel economy of the car is 60mpg on city and 63mpg on highway.
The Chevrolet Miray concept car is produced with carbon fiber and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic the wedged body side is separated by angled character line with ambient lighting. The car features dual port grille, aluminum carbon fiber composite 20 inch wheels on front and 21inch wheels on rear.
The Mi-ray car interior features melange of brushed aluminum, natural leather, white fabric and liquid metal surfaces, center touch screen, centrally located start button, retractable rearview cameras which change conventional rearview mirrors and extend from side glass electrically.
The Chevrolet Miray concept car is capable of running on electric power alone and petrol engine kick in with its quick-shifting dual-clutch gearbox when extra power is required to the car.
