Cadillac revealed new 2012 Cadillac CTS Touring Package

Cadillac has revealed new standard 2012 Cadillac CTS Touring Package Sedan, Coupe and Wagon with new car models.

 The new 2012 Cadillac CTS Sedan and Sport Wagon come with either 3.0L or optional 3.6L engine, both Direct Injection V-6 units, while CTS Coupe comes standard with 3.6L engine. Both engine now will have its own Touring Package.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS touring package is powered with 3.0L V-6 starts at $2,065. The car includes 18-inch pearl nickel finish wheels, dual exhaust, dark finish grille, HID headlamps and fog lamps, V-Series aerodynamic center high mounted stop lamp, suede seat inserts, steering wheel and shifter, midnight Sapele wood trim and metal pedals.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS touring package is also powered with 3.6L V-6 starts at $2,810. The car features Recaro performance seating, suede wrapped steering wheel and shifter, midnight Sapele wood trim and metal pedals. The car also gets dark finish grille, V-Series aerodynamic center high mounted stop lamp and 19-inch polished wheels with either summer tire performance package or all season tire package.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS car powered with 3.6L direct injection V-6 engine produces 318hp. The car is accelerated from 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds comes with optional all wheel drive and FE3 performance suspension designed for agile cornering and braking. Steering wheel mounted paddle shifters for electronically controlled 6-speed automatic transmission are also included in the FE3 performance package.

The new 2012 Cadillac CTS car features standard Bluetooth connectivity, optional Rain Sense Wipers and Side Blind Zone Alert on Coupe along with new colors Opulent Blue Metallic, Black Diamond Tri-Coat and Mocha Steel Metallic.

The new 2012 Cadillac CTS car price starts at $36,790 for CTS Sedan, $39,590 for CTS Coupe and $39,890 for the CTS Sport Wagon.

Cadillac officially announced Cadillac Converj concept car

Cadillac has officially announced t o produce a production version of the Cadillac Converj concept car.

The Cadillac Converj concept car is a dramatic luxury coupe with extended range electric vehicle technology called as Cadillac ELR. The production of Cadillac ELR is underway so details on performance, price and timing will be announced later.

The Cadillac Converj concept car feature electric propulsion system made up of T shaped lithium ion battery, electric drive unit and four cylinder engine generator which uses electricity as its primary source to drive the car without using gasoline or producing tailpipe emissions. When the battery energy is low ELR seamlessly switches to extended range mode to enable driving for hundreds of additional miles.

The Cadillac ELR will offer something not otherwise present the combination of electric propulsion with striking design and the fun of luxury coupe driving. Cadillac selected the name ELR to indicate cars electric propulsion technology in keeping with brands 3-letter international model naming convention. The concept generated instant enthusiasm said by Don Butler vice president of Cadillac Marketing.

The Cadillac Converj concept car was design of combining desirability of grand touring coupe with electrification said by Ed Welburn, GM vice president, Global Design. It is an aggressive, forward leaning profile and proportion showcases uniquely shaped, modern vision of personal luxury 2+2 car.

Cadillac announced upgrades for 2012 Cadillac SRX car

Cadillac has announced major upgrades for the 2012 Cadillac SRX car which is a midsize luxury crossover.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX car is powered with new 3.6L direct injected V6 engine system with 308hp. The car is connected to 6 speed HydraMatic automatic transmission. The car has more mass efficient design and driver selectable ECO Mode for optimal fuel economy.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX car has advanced all wheel drive system with electronic limited slip rear differential, adaptive real time damping technology for excellent ride control, rain sense automatic windshield wipers connect to braking system enabling brakes to conduct slight periodic caliper applications, keeping rotors dry for optimal stopping power in wet conditions.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX car features HID headlamps with Adaptive Forward Lighting, Bose 5.1 surround sound with navigation, full color LCD Driver Info Center, rear view camera system, OnStar is standard and features myCadillac and OnStar Remote Link mobile apps and stolen vehicle assistance. The car has optional heated steering wheel, xenon Blue Metallic exterior paint, all ebony interior with contrasting stitching and new 20-inch wheel finish.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX car will be launched in August and price of the car starts at $36,060.

Cadillac revealed new Cadillac CTS-V Racing Coupe

Cadillac the Luxury car manufacturer one of the division of General Motors revealed the new Cadillac CTS-V Racing Coupe.

 The Cadillac CTS-V Racing Coupe is powered with supercharged 6.2L V8 engine system which produces 535 hp which is 21 hp less than standard CTS-V Coupe. The weight of the car is 1,000 pounds less than production model. The Cadillac CTS-V Racing Coupe features unique wedge outline, aerodynamic carbon fiber body design which is finely right for the race track. The car has deck top spoiler was added to the racecar for improved traction.

The Cadillac CTS-V Racing Coupe will be driven by Johnny O'Connell and Andy Pilgrim. O'Connell is a three-time GT1 champion in America Le Mans Series and Pilgrim claimed victory in 2005 SCCA World Challenge GT class. The CTS will battle other contenders in the highly-competitive Sports Car Club of America World Challenge GT series.

The CTS-V Coupe racecar has been very nimble during testing and seems to brake very well. I not only expect it to do well on a street circuit, but everywhere we compete said in a report by O'Connell.

I am offering the "Iron Tarpon," a 1974 Cadillac covered with aluminum fish scales if it can be used in a permanent public art project. The car runs well, is a blast to drive and has been mine for almost 20 years. I want to see it go to a good home where people will appreciate it. I don't need any money for it, just the assurance it will always be appreciated.

Call of the Syren - Goth 72 Cadilac by Christa Ansbergs

Christa Ansbergs is the creator of a 72 Cadillac called Syren and is a regular participant at Art Car Fest where I met her. She loves the "goth" look and the darker side of life so she drives an art car to match.

When she went looking for the right car she considered buying a used hearse, but found that they were to expensive and a pain to maintain because parts were harder to come by. So she settled for a 1972 Cadillac DeVille and got going with her art car creation. She has painted flowers on the side, appropriate goth bumper stickers all over the trunk, rope arrangement across the hood, and spray painted lace pattern the roof with a chain fence. If you look closely syren has fangs in her grill, so  make sure not stand to close.

I also found a great picture of her at Maker Faire a few years back wearing a skirt she made from bike inner tubes, rolled up in the shape of a skirt and sown together to complete her goth outfit:) Sorry it took so long to put you up on ACC, but here you are, finally:)

Cadillac revealed new 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond Edition car

Cadillac the US car manufacturer has revealed new 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond car which will be offered as CTS-V sedan, coupe, and sport wagon.

 

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond car is powered with supercharged 6.2L V8 engine system with 556 hp and 551 lb-ft of torque. The car is accelerated to 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The car is equipped with Midnight Sapele wood trim and Recaro leather sport seats which features 14 adjustable elements with micro fiber suede inserts.

 The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond car features special Black Diamond exterior with embedded Spectra Flair pigment that offers the car diamond like sparkle. The car is outfitted with yellow Brembo brake calipers and Satin Graphite 19-inch wheels.

The cost of 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Black Diamond car should be $69,190 which will be available for sale with dealers in March.

Electric Goat Scooter, All the Rage - Alex Harrah

Alex Harrah could possible have created the worlds first electric art scooter. He took your basic scooter and replaced the handle bars with goats head or possibly a rams head. Either way horns for handlebars and cup holder is a nice Gothic touch.

Alex uses this scooter to get around due to being diagnosed with Alpha-1 as a result of having been a heavy smoker in the past. He now campaigns against smoking with his two other art cars.

The first was an art car called Cigs Kill created using the body of 1951 Nash Statesman and the frame of a 1978 Lincoln Mark V with extreme detail that took him seven years to complete.

Cadillac unveiled 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon at 2010 New York Auto Show

Cadillac the luxury car manufacturing division of GM has unveiled its 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon at the 2010 New York Auto Show.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon car is powered with a supercharged 6.2-L V8 engine system with 556HP or 415 kW / 564 PS and 551 lb-ft or 747 Nm of torque. The car is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission with dual-disc clutch, 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The engine should let the wagon to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon features an exclusive combination of performance and realism. The car has 25.4 cubic feet or 720 liters of space after the rear seats and 58 cubic feet or 1,644 liters with the seats folded down. Other performance features includes Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

The car is painted in Midnight Silver, interior will have leather/Alcantara-trimmed seats, leather-trimmed upper dashboard, and Sapele wood trim. The car is available for sale in late 2010 at North America followed by European and Middle Eastern countries.

I never thought that a panoramic picture of the underside of a Cadillac would be so amazing, but here it is, amazing. I found this by accident while surfing the net and this caught my eye. It almost looks like a motivation poster, maybe a whole series of these could be made. Its about time the guy who designs the underside of cars gets some artistic credit:) Well done great idea.
