Hyundai revealed 2011 Hyundai Equus at 2010 New York auto show

Hyundai the South Korean auto maker revealed 2011 Hyundai Equus which makes its first debut at 2010 New York auto show.

2010 Hyundai EquusThe 2011 Hyundai Equus car is powered with 4.6-L Tau V8 engine system which is connected to a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual control. The engine delivers an estimated 385 HP and 333 lb-ft of torque. The performance of the car is from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 6.4 seconds.

“Equus takes Hyundai’s formula for intelligent luxury to a new level. We’ve applied the lessons in engineering excellence we’ve learned with Genesis to the Equus, while adding a new level of customer experience that will further differentiate our take on luxury from the traditional premium brands.” said in a statement by John Krafcik, president and CEO, of Hyundai Motor America.

The 2011 Hyundai Equus car incorporates an electronically controlled air suspension and Hyundai Vehicle Stability Management system that optimally manages Electronic Stability Control, the electronic parking brake system, smart cruise control and the seatbelt tensioning system. The car owners manual has been replaces with an iPad.

Mercedes-Benz introduced a new F1 race car at New York Auto Show

Mercedes-Benz the US luxury car maker introduced a new F1 race car during the New York Auto Show. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 will be going to contest in 2011.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 car is powered with AMG 6.3 L V8 engine system with the reduction in weight, the car accelerates to 60mph in 3.7 seconds. The car is planned to contain a 186 mph which allow better speeds. To make driving more race-friendly, the engine is rised to a sequential six speed race transmission.

The special features of the car include an AMG race brake system comprised of ventilated discs, six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. This is used as an alternative of the AMG carbon ceramic brakes possibly offered on the SLS, which do not fit in the FIA GT3 mandated 18-inch wheels. Middle locking alloy wheels determine 12x18 inches up front, and 13x18 inches on rear.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 car will be available at the starting of 2011 among the order opening shortly this year.

Cadillac unveiled 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon at 2010 New York Auto Show

Cadillac the luxury car manufacturing division of GM has unveiled its 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon at the 2010 New York Auto Show.

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport WagonThe 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon car is powered with a supercharged 6.2-L V8 engine system with 556HP or 415 kW / 564 PS and 551 lb-ft or 747 Nm of torque. The car is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission with dual-disc clutch, 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The engine should let the wagon to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon features an exclusive combination of performance and realism. The car has 25.4 cubic feet or 720 liters of space after the rear seats and 58 cubic feet or 1,644 liters with the seats folded down. Other performance features includes Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires.

The car is painted in Midnight Silver, interior will have leather/Alcantara-trimmed seats, leather-trimmed upper dashboard, and Sapele wood trim. The car is available for sale in late 2010 at North America followed by European and Middle Eastern countries.

Hennessey revealed teaser image of Hennessey Venom GT hypercar

Hennessey the US car maker revealed the first teaser image Hennessey Venom GT hypercar is planned to debut at 2010 Geneva Motor show but now it will make its first debut on March 30 at 2010 New York auto show.

The Hennessey Venom GT car is powered with twin turbo LS9 V8 engine system from the Corvette ZR1 producing 750-hp. The car is manufactured on a stretched Exige platform which is 2 ft in length and 1 ft in width. Hennessey is also presenting a twin turbocharged LS9 producing 1,000-hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque in city model and 1,200-hp in sports model. Power is propelled to rear wheels through 6-speed manual transmission.

The Weight of the Hennessey Venom GT car is 2,395 lbs, the 1,000-hp model car departs from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds with a peak speed of 262 mph. The car has 14 inches carbon rotors fixed by 6 piston calipers in front and 4 piston calipers in rear.

The cost of the Venom GT is estimated to begin at $600,000 for the base model and the 1,200- is estimated to begin at $725,000.
